So I’ve been a busy little bee lately. Because of the eyestrain/headache thing I’ve been having lately, I’ve been staying away from the computer in the evenings and working on projects and whatnot – wedding & sewing stuff, basically.
Here’s what they are – sorry, no pics as of yet – I’ll try to get some up pretty soon.
1. Padme Lake dress – version 4?
I found some fabric I had bought and never used. I test dyed it, it dyed ok, so I’m making another lake dress – just to sell, to raise some $$ for the honeymoon trip. I’m really, really pleased with it so far. I’ve nearly finished the outer drapes – I’m stuck for the moment until I get the underdress put in, though.
2. Belle’s library dress
I got all the fabric for this on sale over the past couple of weeks – I got the skirt put together night before last, I’m quite happy with how it looks. I need to pick up some lining tomorrow at Hobby Lobby (thought I had some that would match but I didn’t) so I can get the bodice cut out.
3. Leia’s Bespin Gown
After having this on my to-do list for seriously 4 years now, last night I finally pulled everything out and starting pinning it on the dressform to get a vague idea of how I want to start. I got a rough idea of the collar cut out as well – so far, so good.
4. A purple dress
I had several yards of two different purples – one a lavender, and one a darker shade. I decided to put them together and make a dress. Haven’t started on it yet, outside of picking out a pattern.
